Thank you so much Clifford, always much appreciated. She did look amazing and I'm guessing by the looks of her girth she may be calving fairly soon too. It was great to see her looking so relaxed and healthy. She made my day.

Love the shot Heather. The moose does appear to be calm and so healthy with her shinny coat. Sounds like you had one of those moments in nature that brings such a sense of calmness and excitement to the situation. Thx for sharing the experience.

Thank you so much Debra, your comments are always appreciated. I've had some really close encounters with moose over the years and have only come to appreciate and respect them more with each encounter. It's a privilege and exciting to feel like you're a part of their world even if it's only for a few moments.. the memories last forever.

What a nice capture you've done here Heather. Colours and contrast are very good with that lighting from the left. Great details on the fur and the face is well expressive. The focal 230 suggest it was a close encounter. She seems to enjoy your presence. Well done.

Thank you Yves, always appreciated. I especially like how expressive she was and that she seemed to be enjoying the morning which was mild and sunny. I think animals have a better sense about people's intentions than they're given credit for. She seemed pretty comfortable with the situation and so was I.

Description
I didn't notice this moose until after I got out of my vehicle because she blended in so well with the background. She didn't seem very bothered by my presence, just curious, and resumed feeding on poplar tree branches as I departed.
